Framing your Concert Memorabilia
Summer is here and with those warm nights come unforgettable concerts. Whether an acoustic ballad or a headbanger in the moshpit, these experiences represent not only a moment with your favorite artists, but time spent alongside friends or family. What better way to preserve these once-in-a-lifetime memories than to have them framed? Our team here at Thompson’s Frame & Gallery has extensive experience in framing all manner of concert and music memorabilia– anything from the simplest show flyer to the most elaborate autographed guitar shadowbox. With our variety of materials, styles, and expertise, your piece will not only be protected, but will proudly be on display for years to come.
Posters and Photos
Have a poster that’s been rolled up in a tube and forgotten in the back of a closet for years? No problem! Our dry mount press, which utilizes a heated vacuum seal, can completely flatten any poster up to 48” x 96” and make it look good as new. If your poster is limited edition with potential escalating value, such as a signed and numbered print, we recommend a museum mount. In this process, your valuable piece will be secured with exclusively acid-free museum quality materials, perfectly preserving it in its original state. Beyond the technical specifications, we carry a wide selection of colors and styles for mats and frames. From funky psychedelic bands to Broadway productions, you’ll have the freedom to choose what will truly make your poster shine.
Vinyl Albums and CDs
Framing a vinyl album or CD is a unique way to showcase a special piece from your prized collection. Album covers are often works of art in their own right, and can be a great addition to any project. Many people may not be aware that it is possible to frame these items while preserving their integrity and ability to be removed and played again. Just like with the posters and photos, we can secure your item onto any of our mats, regardless of if you prefer it displayed outside or inside the vinyl sleeve.
Instruments, T-shirts, and Drumsticks
Have a favorite band shirt you want to frame, caught a drumstick your favorite drummer threw out into the crowd, or even a signed drumhead, or guitar? We can create the perfect shadowbox to show them off. We are skilled in creating framing solutions for unusual items which would otherwise be a challenge to properly display. Our specialized selection of materials offer us the ability to mount your items in a secure and artistically inspired way. Like with vinyl, our museum quality processes assure your items will be preserved and easily removable if necessary.
Tickets, Wristbands, and Other Memorabilia
Other concert memorabilia, such as tickets, wristbands, programs or even set lists, are a great addition to add personality and individuality to your project. Why stop at having an identical poster to everyone else, when you can add a personal touch with these collectables? Multiple items can be secured in the same frame to create a collage which truly encapsulates your experience. One of our favorite customer projects in the past was a collage of tickets they had collected over time from every single concert they saw.
We here at Thompson’s Frame & Gallery understand that each piece of concert memorabilia holds its own special memories. When you bring in these artworks and items, we will create a unique and personalized piece which mirrors the artistry of the music.
